THE CLADY-GLEBE SOCIETY TO UNVEIL HEADSTONE DEDICATED TO LOCAL REPUBLICANS

Local Republicans To Be Remembered Next Weekend By Friends And Comrades In Clady

On Saturday 25th August, at Doneyloop Graveyard, the Joseph Plunkett Society Clady-Glebe  will unveil Memorial Headstones to local Republicans Mark Hannigan, Phil Elliott and Mickey Hannigan.

IRA Volunteers from the West Tyrone area, they gave a lifetime’s service to the Republican Movement and are held in the highest esteem by the people of Clady, the Glebe and the wider West Tyrone hinterland.

The Joseph Plunkett Society are immensely proud of the contribution these men have made to the cause of freedom in Ireland. We remain determined that the 32-County Republic for which they fought will one day yet be realised.

Assemble at St. Columba’s Church Car Park, Doneyloop, at 6.15pm. All welcome, with a get-together later that evening in Christy’s Bar, Strabane, beginning at 10pm.
