MICHELLE O’NEILL’S ODE TO HER BRITISH COLONIAL OVERLORDS
The First (Prime) Minister Michelle O’Neill of the British Colonial Occupied Six County State in the North of Ireland, will pay homage to Britain’s Imperial Armed Forces on Sunday 10th November. Michelle who will attend alongside Emma Little-Pengelly daughter of Loyalist Gun-runner Noel Little. The guns Mr Little smuggled into the North were used to murder at least 70 people in the North of Ireland including those in the Sean Graham Bookmaker Massacre on the Ormeau Rd in Belfast, the Loughinisland Massacre and the Rising Sun Bar Massacre at Greysteel. Michelle says ‘it’s the right thing to do’ to remember all those who perished as cannon fodder in rich men’s wars to further Britain and its allies, Colonial and Imperial interests.
On top of this Michelle O’Neill has indicated she will no longer be attending Commemoration for Irish Republican Volunteers who give their lives for the Republic laid out in the 1916 Proclamation. Effectively she is vindicating Britain’s colonial subjugation of Ireland, while vilifying those who made the ultimate sacrifice to bring about an Ireland of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. This isn’t just some surface level abandonment of the Anti-Colonial Resistance Struggle on Sinn Fein’s part, it has been part of the party’s trajectory over a period of time. This can be seen as the party has dropped one policy after another to pursue a populist agenda rather than being guided by any ideological framework. Sinn Fein has shown themselves in government in the North happy to implement Neo-Liberal Policy under successive Labour and Tory governance. SF also were happy to throw their weight behind Biden over the war in Gaza, visiting him on St Patick’s day last year.
Sinn Fein have set their stall as the party that will do whatever it takes to get hold of the levers of power, whether it be throwing under the bus the Volunteers of the Republican Movement, the ordinary working class people or those facing a brutal genocide at the hands of Israel backed up by the Western Imperial States. Sinn Fein have chosen the side of power, privilege and oppression over that of building a society that looks out for all its citizens equally. History is well documented with how such scenario’s play out, history repeats, the first time is tragedy the second is farce.
